Who is the current Prime Minister of Canada?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, the current Prime Minister of Canada is Justin Trudeau. He has been in office since November 4, 2015, leading the Liberal Party of Canada. Trudeau is the son of Pierre Elliott Trudeau, who served as Prime Minister from 1968 to 1979 and again from 1980 to 1984, making Justin a member of one of Canada's most prominent political families.

Justin Trudeau was born on December 25, 1971, in Ottawa, Ontario. He studied literature at McGill University and then received a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. Before entering political life, he taught mathematics and other subjects and has been involved in several charitable and community activities, showing early commitment to public service.

Trudeau's political career began in earnest when he was elected as the Member of Parliament for Papineau in 2008. He then rapidly rose through the ranks within the Liberal Party and became its leader in April 2013. With his charisma and centring of progressive policies, he revitalized the party that had faced many challenges in the previous years.
